About the Kashiwa International Office

The University of Tokyo has just formulated a plan called “Internationalized Promotion Plan 2005-2008 ”. Based on this plan the Kashiwa International Office (KIO) was established in April 2006. KIO has two main objectives. One is to help foreign students, scholars, and researchers start living in Japan with the minimum difficulities and the other is to cooperate with the surrounding local autonomous body to make the campus area more internationalized, Including planning of on-campus international lodge.
